Can Bruises Be Prevented?
Bruises are kind of hard to avoid completely. Being conscious of one's surroundings helps. But teens, especially, are often running at full tilt in their daily lives. And if they're playing sports, riding their bike, in-line skating, or doing anything where they might get bumped, banged, or smash or crash into something, it's usually a good idea to wear protective gear.
But even lying on the couch or walking up the stairs creates bruising hazards. I once fell UP the stairs, so you can never be too careful.
If protective gear isn't possible, (I mean, you'd look pretty funny watching Smallville wearing a helmet.) you can always keep NoBruise towelettes handy.
And if you're really into the Couch Potato thing, here's a link to TeenTelevision. You can read about John Krasinski, (Jim Halpert in The Office), and what it's like to be a 'Leatherhead'.
For you Internet surfers, here's The Singing Blobs for your viewing pleasure.
